New York Mets ace Noah Syndergaard will have to wait a little longer to make his return from injury.
Syndergaard, who has been on the disabled list since May 29 with a strained ligament in his finger, will not start Sunday as scheduled after his throwing session on Friday went poorly.

While Syndergaard’s injury doesn’t sound exceptionally serious, it’s another setback for a Mets team that really can’t take many more hits right now. It’s been a very rough month for the team on all fronts, and Syndergaard’s return was supposed to provide a boost. They’ll have to wait a little longer for it.
