
You probably had not heard of Pavin Smith prior to Monday, but you know about him now thanks to his awesome gesture.
Smith, who was the Arizona Diamondbacks’ first-round pick in the 2017 MLB Draft, paid off the mortgage on his parents’ home for Christmas.
Take a look at this video he posted on Twitter that shows his parents learning of their present:

Smith is only 21 and has yet to come close to the big money of the big leagues since he’s only been pro for less than a year. That makes his gift even more special.
The former University of Virginia slugger was drafted No. 7 overall and batted .318 with an .816 OPS in 51 games in low-A ball last season. He’ll probably have many more fans in his corner after this.
