Pensacola Blue Wahoos make minor league stadium available on AirBnB

Minor league baseball teams have been hit particularly hard by the shutdown of the sports world, with those teams very reliant on gameday income to keep things running. With that in mind, one organization has gotten very creative in terms of making money.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, are offering up their stadium on AirBnB. The price is $1,500 per night, and it comes with all the amenities: full access to the field, batting cages, and clubhouse, as well as the attached bedroom.

The full listing is well worth reading, but the team promises all the amenities. A staff member is on hand at all times to provide security and answer questions. And no, it’s not a scam, as the listing is verified by AirBnB.

Things are very rough for the minor leagues right now. It’s a pretty creative way on the organization’s part to maybe make some money and earn some publicity.
