Ricky Nolasco furious with Jose Ramirez, hints Twins will hit him

The Minnesota Twins took exception to the way Jose Ramirez celebrated a home run he hit on Wednesday, and Ricky Nolasco hinted that the second baseman may be in line for a plunking.

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with 4 RBIs in the Indians’ 10-1 win over the Twins in the second half of a doubleheader. He had an RBI double in the second, but it was after his 3-run home run in the eighth that the Twins were so upset.

Ramirez admired the towering shot he crushed off Nolasco and even did a massive bat flip. The homer led many Twins, such as Kurt Suzuki and manager Paul Molitor, to come to the top step of the dugout to curse out Ramirez.

After the game, Nolasco said Ramirez would “get his,” which seems to be his way of saying he’ll be hit by a pitch.

Nolasco also supposedly called the celebration a “horses— move.”

Indians manager Terry Francona recognized his infielder went too far with the celebration, saying he had a “good swing, poor judgement.”

The irony is these teams are getting into a fight over a supposed disrespectful celebration the same day a major article comes out about the culture clash in baseball. Umpires better be on high alert during Thursday’s finale.
