The Washington Nationals will have a full staff ready for whoever they face in the National League Wild Card game.
According to manager Dave Martinez, Max Scherzer will start the game, as expected. He will, however, have significant help in relief, with both Stephen Strasburg and Patrick Corbin available if needed.

In other words, it will be all hands on deck, and the Nationals will figure out the NLDS if and when they get there. Washington will be able to run three workhorses with ERAs below 3.50 at whoever they face, and at least as of now, they’d be playing at home, too. Washington will be facing either St. Louis or Milwaukee depending on who wins the NL Central.
As an added twist, this could well be Strasburg’s final appearance in a Washington uniform if he were to make an appearance in a loss.
