The Orioles clinched a wildcard spot thanks to a 5-2 victory over the Yankees on Sunday. Afterward, Tommy Hunter was understandably very fired up in the locker room.
Kevin Gausman got the start for Baltimore in game No. 162 and allowed two runs over 7.1 innings on the way to picking up the win. It was a big time performance when the Orioles needed it most and Hunter was extremely appreciative of the effort of the 25-year-old, so much so Hunter let a couple of expletives fly during a fiery postgame speech.

Hunter was a member of the Orioles teams that made it to the postseason in 2012 and 2014. Last season, he was traded to the Cubs. Earlier this year, Hunter signed as a free agent with the Indians, who released him in August. A few days later, he signed with the Orioles. It’s been a bit of a journey for Hunter since leaving Baltimore, but he’s back like he never left.
