Torii Hunter: If I can endure cramps during sex, LeBron James has ‘no excuse’

Torii-HunterA number of current and former athletes came to the defense of LeBron James after he left Game 1 of the NBA Finals with severe cramping in the fourth quarter. If James was physically able to play, he obviously would have been in the game. However, Torii Hunter believes that if he can grind out a cramp during sex, LeBron should be able to keep playing.

In an interview with Jim Rome that aired Wednesday night, Hunter was asked for his opinion on LeBron leaving a game with cramps. His response was classic.

“I’ve been there before, especially playing football in high school and after the game you’re on the bus and you catch a cramp and you can’t move,” Hunter said, via the New York Post. “But I can tell you this, I made love to my wife the other night and I caught a cramp in my hamstring. I actually put my leg out and kept performing. So there’s no excuse.”

Unlike this NFL offensive lineman, Hunter has enjoyed nearly two decades of success at the professional level. He has remained relatively healthy throughout his career, and apparently cramps don’t stop him. Fortunately for his wife, cramps are no match for Torii on or off the field.
