Trevor Bauer says he was censored on Twitter by MLB
Trevor Bauer claimed on Twitter Thursday that he was censored by MLB about sharing his political beliefs.
Bauer’s tweets seemed to be inspired by a meeting during spring training in which MLB encouraged players to take stances and be leaders politically. The Cleveland Indians pitcher suggests the opposite happened to him.
Just had a meeting encouraging all players to take a stance and be leaders politically. Here’s my stance. I find it disingenuous that @mlb commissioners office would encourage this when they’ve specifically tried to censor me for sharing my opinion on the matter. #RiseUp

When asked by someone on Twitter whether that was the reason he was quiet on Twitter over the offseason, Bauer said he was almost not allowed access to his account.
Almost like I wasn’t allowed access to my twitter account for a while

Bauer was known for being a Trump supporter during the election in 2016, which caused some friction publicly. Now he’s been reduced to using his Twitter to share funny stories occasionally.
