The Minnesota Twins will be able to keep a big part of their surprising 2017 success.
The team announced Monday that they have agreed to a new three-year deal with manager Paul Molitor, keeping him in the dugout through 2020.

There was always some likelihood that the Twins would be able to keep Molitor, but it will be a relief to them to get the deal done. He had been in the final year of his contract, but the turnaround that he led the Twins on — from 103 losses to a spot in the AL Wild-Card game in consecutive seasons — made it a foregone conclusion that Minnesota would do everything they could to bring him back. They’ve succeeded.
