Twitter reacts to Yasiel Puig licking his bat in NLDS Game 1
Yasiel Puig’s antics were on full display in the opening game of the postseason for his Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday.
After fouling one off in the first inning of NLDS Game 1 between the Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Cuban outfielder suddenly took a lick of his bat and quickly discovered that the taste of pine tar was quite unpleasant.

Puig went on to hit an RBI double later in the AB as a part of a four-run first inning for the Dodgers, so maybe he’s onto something here. In any case, at least it’s a welcome change from the way Puig usually treats bats — flipping them, electrocuting them, or sometimes even outright destroying them.
