Vin Scully makes money sign after ESPN appearance
Vin Scully may have ever-so-slightly pulled off the ultimate boss move on Wednesday night.
In celebration of Scully’s final season as a broadcaster, ESPN opted to run audio of the veteran announcer’s call of the Giants-Dodgers game during the fourth inning rather than the feed from its “Wednesday Night Baseball” announcing team led by Jon Sciambi.
After the fourth ended, Scully appeared to make a joke about his feed being syndicated to ESPN by doing a money sign with his fingers:
Absolutely classic – Vin Scully appears on ESPN and after signing off – "PAY ME" video (h/t @shahanLA) pic.twitter.com/KN9k7hMJrU

Either that was a tribute to Johnny Manziel, or Vin was breaking some balls about getting paid extra by ESPN for his work (or maybe something completely unrelated). Awesome.
We know from clips like this that Scully can be serious during his broadcasts, but we also know he has a playful side too.
