NL team signs half-brother of Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Another member of the Guerrero family is embarking on a baseball career.
Vladi Miguel Guerrero, the son of former All-Star Vladimir Guerrero and half-brother of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., signed with the New York Mets as an international free agent on Monday. The 17-year-old received a $117,000 signing bonus to join the Mets organization, according to Jesse Borek of MLB.com.
The elder Guerrero shared his own message after the contract was signed.

Vladi Miguel is several years away from the majors, but is regarded as an intriguing prospect. He is viewed as a hit-first prospect, but unlike his father and half-brother, he hits left-handed. Scouting reports suggest he has flashed solid power and has good control of the strike zone.
The Mets are not shy about collecting young prospects that have family ties to MLB stars. Vladi Miguel is simply the latest member of the list.
