Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames accused New York Mets outfielder Jesse Winker of ducking him in the parking lot after Game 1 of the NL Wild Card series.
Adames and Winker were seen trash-talking on the field during Tuesday’s Game 1 after Winker tripled in two runs in the 2nd inning. The source of the conflict was unclear, but a Jomboy Media lip-reading video suggested that Adames challenged Winker to meet him in the parking lot after the game to settle things.

Adames effectively confirmed as much to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, and then accused Winker of pulling a no-show.
“He just started yelling to me straight-up,” Adames said. “In the heat of the moment, I’m not going to back down. So we were just chirping. I don’t know what he was mad about.”
Adames added that he “was there” in the parking lot after the game, but Winker never showed up.
Winker may have just been riled up and having some fun, as has been the case before. Still, Adames took the whole thing seriously enough to hold up his end of the bargain.
Winker and the Mets wound up winning Game 1 on Tuesday, but the Brewers staged a comeback win in Game 2 on Wednesday. They will play a winner-take-all Game 3 on Thursday night.
