Woman sues Miguel Cabrera seeking more child support

A woman has sued Miguel Cabrera over increased child support payments she is seeking for the two children she shares with the Detroit Tigers slugger.
The Detroit News shares details of the lawsuit, which they say was filed in August. The woman has custody of two children, born in 2013 and 2015, outside of Cabrera’s marriage of 15 years to another woman.
Cabrera allegedly is paying the Florida woman $6,200 in monthly child support and also bought her a nearly $1 million home earlier this year. She says he cut his child support payments to her, leading her to seek as much as $100,000 monthly.
Cabrera reportedly responded by asking for paternity tests for the two children and is accusing the woman of extortion.
Cabrera, 34, made $28 million this season and last season. He is set to earn $30 million a season over the next four years and has earned $216 million thus far in his playing career.
