X-rays on Xander Bogaerts negative after HBP

The Boston Red Sox got some good news about the status of Xander Bogaerts following a scare on Tuesday night.
Bogaerts was hit in the hand during the ninth inning of Boston’s 3-1 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies.
X-Rays on Xander Bogaerts are negative. Reported injury is right hand contusion, the same injury that slowed him down for the second half of last season #RedSox pic.twitter.com/ZAuC3Ylv3a

Bogaerts was hit in the same spot as last July, which caused additional worry among fans; the shortstop struggled the rest of July and through August last year after being hit.
Some moderately good news came after the game when X-rays on Bogaerts were negative.
X-rays negative on Bogaerts. He was hit on the same spot as last season (and x-rays were negative then, too). Says he'll see how he feels on Thursday. Fair to say he was downcast.

Based on how last year’s HBP slowed him down, Bogaerts isn’t completely clear. But just having a contusion versus a fracture is good news.
