76ers lose Game 3 after embarrassing confetti flub
Game 3 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics on Saturday may heretofore be known as the “confetti game.”
Boston was up 89-87 with 1.7 seconds left when Philly’s Marco Belinelli made a shot at the buzzer from the corner.

The shot was ruled a two-pointer rather than a three, meaning it tied the game at 89. Someone in Wells Fargo Center screwed up though and set confetti off inside the arena as if Belinelli’s shot had won the game.

The confetti had to be cleared off the court, which caused a delay in Game 3 before overtime could begin. Best of all, the guy operating the confetti had a fitting shirt.

It was only right then that the 76ers would lose the game 101-98 in overtime after the premature celebration. Boston now leads the series 3-0.
