Aaron Gordon and the Denver Nuggets made sure to take care of business just before the start of the 2024-25 season.

Gordon has agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $133 million, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. The Nuggets forward’s new deal includes a player option for the 2028-29 season as well as a trade kicker.

As part of the deal, Gordon will reportedly opt into his $23 million player option for the 2025-26 season. He will then be paid his maximum annual salary worth just shy of $37 million over the following three years.

Aaron Gordon’s new deal comes via opting in on his $23 million salary for 2025-26, then three additional years at his maximum salary plus bonuses. Total of $133M. A key member of Denver’s 2023 championship team is now locked in long term. https://t.co/M7x2coMJJm

Gordon has been a vital piece for the Nuggets ever since the team acquired him from the Orlando Magic in 2021. The 29-year-old has averaged 14.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists on 54.2% shooting through his four seasons in Denver. Gordon has also served as a perfect frontcourt complement to Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic.

The Nuggets have now fully committed to their championship foursome of Jokic, Gordon, Jamal Murray, and Michael Porter Jr. Denver also rewarded Murray with a huge extension last month. All four players are now signed with the Nuggets for at least the next three seasons.
