Brandon Roy reportedly shot during outdoor gathering
Brandon Roy was reportedly shot while attending an outdoor gathering in Los Angeles over the weekend, according to a report.
King 5 in Seattle reports that Roy was an innocent bystander when he was struck. They say that the shooting may have been gang-related.
The former 3-time NBA All-Star was treated in LA but has returned home to Washington, according to the report.
Roy, 32, was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. The former Husky and Seattle native played six seasons in the league but had his career derailed by knee injuries.
He is currently a coach at Nathan Hale high school where he led the program to an undefeated season.
