Report: Bulls aggressively shopping Pau Gasol
The Chicago Bulls are “aggressively shopping” Pau Gasol, according to a report.
The 35-year-old forward, who is expected to opt out of his contract at the end of the season, is reportedly very much available in a trade, according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
According to Wojnarowski, Bulls general manager Gar Forman seems “determined” to move Gasol and get something back for him.
It’s hard to imagine anyone giving up much for Gasol. He’s still a valuable contributor, but as a free agent after the season who will probably be picky about his destination, he’d probably be little more than a rental for many teams.
Chicago is fighting for a playoff spot, so they may just feel that they can afford to offload someone like Gasol and not really miss out on a championship opportunity. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard that the Bulls may trade Pau, either.
