Caitlin Clark is about to branch out into the men’s game.

NBC Sports announced on Tuesday that the Indiana Fever superstar Clark is joining their network as a special contributor. Clark will be serving as part of the “Basketball Night in America” studio team on select Sunday nights and is set to have her first on-site assignment on Feb. 1 when the Los Angeles Lakers play the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y.

“I’m really excited to be part of the ‘Basketball Night in America’ crew this season,” Clark said in a statement. “Carmelo [Anthony], Vince [Carter], and Tracy [McGrady] are legends of the game and Maria [Taylor] is a true professional. It will be really fun to join them a few times this season.”

NBC is in its first season of owning broadcast rights to NBA games after a 23-year hiatus. As part of their package, NBC is airing 100 total regular season games a year, including an eight-week bundle of “Sunday Night Basketball.”

As for Clark, she is coming off an injury-plagued sophomore season for the Fever in which she only managed to appear in 13 total games (averaging 16.5 points and 8.8 assists per game overall). With continued uncertainty over whether or not the WNBA will even have a 2026 season due to stalled negotiations on a new collective bargaining agreement, Clark is making sure to keep busy in the meantime.

Going into broadcasting is actually a very fitting new gig for Clark. A couple of years ago, we learned that the two-time WNBA All-Star Clark has a real hidden talent when it comes to commentating.
