Gary Trent Jr. woke up with zero basketball conscience on Monday.
The veteran point guard turned heads when he uncorked consecutive shots from behind the arc on the same possession, without hesitation each time, during a preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wis.
Trent never dribbled the ball during the entire sequence, as he just kept relocating himself on the floor while his teammates took care of the rebounds for extra chances. The former Duke Blue Devils star somehow looked even more confident with his shot after every miss, all of which were bad.
Here is a video of that wild sequence.
No wonder the NBA launched an investigation after Bucks paid Gary Trent Jr $64 Million 😭 https://t.co/1kDIFu487Z

It was just the first quarter, with still over four minutes left in the period, but Trent made it feel as though the Bucks were down by two points in Game 7 of the NBA Finals with just seconds remaining in overtime.
Then again, it was just a preseason game, with nothing meaningful on the line. It’s better for Trent to unload all those bricks now than in the regular season when games actually count.
Trent is hoping to recover his usual shooting touch from deep in the coming season after shooting only 36% from downtown in the 2025-26 campaign. He is a career 38.7% 3-point shooter in the NBA.
Trent finished the Timberwolves game with 11 points on 3/9 shooting (3/8 from 3-point distance) in a 116-97 Bucks loss.
