Report: Cavs players do not like each other

LeBron James

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a mess on the court, and now you can add some additional info that paints their situation as strained.

Prior to the Cavaliers’ game against the Timberwolves on ESPN Wednesday, ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth delivered quite the report. She said Cavs players flat-out do not like each other.

“It’s safe to say that Cleveland has reached a new low because they’re saying it themselves,” Hubbarth said. “I talked to a source close to the team and they said their issues have nothing to do with basketball. They don’t like each other. And the coaching staff is having to coach effort instead of basketball.”

Hubbarth added that Dwyane Wade says he has not seen anything like this during his career.

“Wade said this is the first time he’s experienced something like this in his 15-year career,” Hubbarth reported.

Though her report comes across as shocking, it’s worth noting that Hubbarth’s colleague, Brian Windhorst, said something similar after the Cavaliers were blown out by the Rockets over the weekend.

This is the latest issue for the Cavs.

After Tuesday’s loss to Orlando, Isaiah Thomas had some harsh words about his teammates. And if the players fighting weren’t bad enough, there’s also issues with the front office.

With the NBA trade deadline on Thursday, it will be interesting to see if the organization makes a move to shake up the roster, because it seems like as currently constructed there are major chemistry issues.
