Report: Chauncey Billups to interview for Timberwolves’ team president role
The Minnesota Timberwolves could turn to a familiar old face to try to turn the fortunes of their franchise around.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Minnesota Timberwolves plan to meet with Chauncey Billups over the role of team president.
Chauncey Billups and the Minnesota Timberwolves will meet in near future to discuss the franchise's President of Basketball Operations role, league sources tell me and @JonKrawczynski.

Billups played for Minnesota from 2000 to 2002. He is current an ESPN analyst and has no front office experience, but has interviewed for big jobs before, ultimately backing out when the money wasn’t right.
The Timberwolves are trying to rebuild their organization after the Tom Thibodeau era did not yield the anticipated results. Billups would be a fresh face and is highly-regarded in NBA circles. They’d just have to hope his bad player comparisons wouldn’t be a sign of things to come from a player evaluation standpoint.
