Kevin Durant scored 38 first half points and 50 overall in a dominant Game 6 performance to eliminate the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, leaving his opponents at a loss on how to stop him.
Durant was the dominant force in the game, and when that subject was put to Clippers guards Patrick Beverley and Lou Williams, they essentially admitted that they had different looks and gave max effort, but sometimes, there’s just nothing one can do against an elite talent.

Some might suggest this is already two Clippers players already hard at work planting the seeds for a Durant recruitment, but it seems genuine. It’s also impressive of Beverley, who has tangled with Durant all series, but it backs up his earlier point about there not being beef, at least on his end. They’re both right, too: sometimes you just run into a dominant player in that type of mood, and it’s hard to do anything about it.
