Patrick Beverley says he has no beef with Kevin Durant after ejections

Patrick Beverley and Kevin Durant were both ejected from their first playoff game of the season on Saturday when they each received two technical fouls in the span of about 20 seconds, but the Los Angeles Clippers star insists there are no hard feelings.

TMZ caught up with Beverley this week and asked him about the incident between him and Durant, and he was quick to downplay it.

“It’s all fun, man,” Beverley said. “It’s just two good teams, two good players battling. That’s about it.”

Beverley was then asked specifically if he has beef with Durant.

“Hell no,” he said emphatically. “I don’t have no beef with anybody.”

Beverley is one of the better defenders in the NBA, and Durant is not the first opponent he has managed to frustrate. Durant was smiling during Game 1 after he appeared to push Beverley down following a foul, and you can bet Beverley will do everything he can to get under his skin going forward in the series. That said, there’s a difference between “beef” and things that happen in the heat of a playoff game. Beverley clearly feels the dust-up between him and Durant was the latter.
