After Monday’s shocking trade of Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons, the LA Clippers may have yet another blockbuster move up their sleeve.
Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer reported on Monday that there are “rumblings” about a potential swap between the Clippers and the Miami Heat for centers DeAndre Jordan and Hassan Whiteside.
The two big men offer very similiar attributes — elite rebounding ability and rim protection tempered by limited offensive range. But Jordan can be a free agent after the season while Whiteside is signed through at least 2019. The latter is also a year younger on top of the additional year under contract.

For those reasons alone, a swap may be unlikely. What we do know though is that the Clippers may be intensifying their efforts to trade Jordan after the Griffin trade.
