DeMarcus Cousins suffers potential knee injury during workout
DeMarcus Cousins had to settle for a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason after injury questions once again limited his market, and the concerns in that department are not going away any time soon.
Cousins was working out in Las Vegas on Monday when he was forced to leave the court with what is believed to be a knee injury, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports. He was scheduled to undergo further testing in LA on Thursday.

While the injury could turn out to be minor, it’s hard not to be concerned given all that Cousins has been through over the past two years. He missed a large portion of last season with the Golden State Warriors while he was still recovering from a torn Achilles, and he then suffered a torn quad muscle at the start of the playoffs. Cousins was able to return later in the postseason, but the injury undoubtedly hurt his value on the open market.
Cousins appears to be committed to getting into better shape this offseason, as he recently looked a lot slimmer during an interview. Hopefully his latest injury turns out to be nothing serious.
