Report: Dennis Rodman likely to serve jail time after DUI arrest

Dennis Rodman
Dennis Rodman was arrested for driving while under the influence over the weekend, and the former NBA star could end up serving jail time if he’s convicted.

TMZ reports that Rodman was on probation at the time of his arrest on Saturday. The probation stemmed from a hit-and-run in July 2016 when Rodman allegedly fled the scene after hitting another car while driving the wrong way on the freeway. He wasn’t charged with DUI, but he ended up striking a deal where he was placed on probation for three years.

Prison officials told TMZ that Rodman’s probation is likely to be revoked in the wake of his latest arrest, and he could be sent to prison for up to two years — the sentence he was facing in the hit-and-run — plus any additional time stemming from the new charge.

A representative for Rodman told TMZ that the former Chicago Bull is in need of rehab for substance abuse issues. When you hear some of the alleged details from his hit-and-run, it’s clear Rodman is lucky he didn’t kill someone else or himself.
