Derrick Rose has maintained his innocence in the wake of being accused of sexually assaulting a woman more than two years ago, and he claims a sex toy can help exonerate him.
Rose is being sued for more than $20 million by a woman who alleges that the Bulls star and two friends broke into her apartment and raped her in August 2013. According to court documents, Rose insists the sex was consensual and says the accuser only became angry when he wouldn’t reimburse her for a sex toy she used.
According to TMZ, Rose claims there are photos that show the accuser wearing a “sex belt” and that she bragged about using it while having sex with him. A woman claiming to know the accuser has also come forward in defense of Rose.
More from TMZ:
Now, a woman who says she was the accuser’s ex-roommate and co-worker is coming forward to defend Rose — claiming she was with the accuser the day after the incident and all the woman wanted to talk about is the “sex belt” she had planned to use with Rose.
In legal docs filed by Rose’s attorney, the ex-roommate says the accuser showed her a picture that she had sent to Rose wearing the sex belt … a belt the accuser claimed Rose had asked her to buy.
The ex-roommate says she had no idea what a sex belt was — so the accuser explained, “A sex belt with two bars for the man to hold enables the man to get leverage and hold the bars during the ‘doggie style’ position.”
The woman defending Rose says the accuser complained a few days later about not being reimbursed for the belt and never mentioned rape until she became upset.
The original allegations from the accuser were pretty disturbing, and you can read them here.
Rose is averaging a career-low 13.7 points per game this season.
