Dirk Nowitzki was never known for his leaping ability, but the 7-footer has never really had any trouble dunking, either. Perhaps age is finally starting to catch up with the Dallas Mavericks star.
During the first quarter of Tuesday night’s win over the Sacramento Kings, Dirk went to dunk the ball after a whistle blew and the Mavs were awarded a basket for goaltending. Though it didn’t count, the 37-year-old was rejected by the rim in embarrassing fashion.
In Dirk’s defense, it didn’t look like he put much effort into it. Plus, he thinks he has a theory on why he was unable to convert.

That had to have been it.
After seeing that failed attempt, Dirk might want to reconsider his plans for next season and beyond.
