Jaxson Dart kept one of his teammates in mind as the New York Giants sealed a season-opening win over the Dallas Cowboys.
The Giants upset the Cowboys Sunday on their home field at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Before celebrating or riling up the excited crowd, Dart got the game ball and gave it straight to wide receiver Malik Nabers.
The third-year wideout got through his first NFL game in nearly a year after a lengthy recovery from a torn ACL he suffered on the very same field. Nabers was all smiles as he walked off the field with the ball in hand.

Malik Nabers was a game-time decision before the Giants’ win and hadn't played since September 2025 ❤️

Several fans sang Dart’s praises for the classy gesture.
THAT….Is what a franchise QB does. I love what’s happening in NY. #Bigblue

Big time leadership move by Jaxson Dart. Turned right around and handed the ball to Malik Nabers. Was questions if he’s even be ready to play and he stepped up and made huge catches.

Dart also went to Nabers for his first pass of the game. The LSU product showed even more emotion as he made the grab and battled to get just a yard shy of a first down.

The QB-WR duo looked sharp in the Giants’ first action of the 2026 season. Dart went 23/29 for 3 touchdowns, while Nabers tallied 6 catches for 69 yards.
With Dart, Nabers, wide receiver Isaiah Likely, and running back Cam Skattebo firing on all cylinders, the Giants never trailed in a 28-20 win over their division rivals.
