Draymond Green goes viral for reaction to Timberwolves’ season-ending loss
Draymond Green appears to have gotten his wish.
The Minnesota Timberwolves were eliminated from the playoffs on Thursday with a 124-103 loss in Game 5 of their Western Conference Finals series against the Dallas Mavericks. The Golden State Warriors star Green had been working as a part of TNT’s studio crew during the WCF series but was noticeably absent from Game 5 (which was held in Minnesota).
Green spoke out about the blowout game in a post to X on Thursday night … but not until the game had nearly gone final.
“WiFi just came on, on my flight after a while in the air,”Green wrote. “OUCH!! lol wow.”

That seemed to be some thinly-veiled jubilation from Green, who did not even attempt to be impartial on the air during the conference finals. He was openly taking swipes at Timberwolves fans and players (including longtime enemy Rudy Gobert) and was even giving on-air tips to just the Mavericks during the series.
It was pretty clear that Green wanted the Mavericks to win over the Timberwolves. While he got the result that he wanted, Green also apparently drew some ire from the Timberwolves themselves with his remarks during the series.
