Green, one of the league’s most notorious trash talkers, had some good jabs for Walton, the former Warriors lead assistant. His best line of the evening, in his mind, was a note about how Green did the work in getting Walton hired as a head coach.

Green’s lines here were much more light-hearted than some of his past interactions with coaches, as there remains a healthy respect between the two men. Walton probably enjoyed it himself.
