Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union talk about how cheap LeBron James is
LeBron James has already earned roughly $170 million on the court during his NBA career. Off the court, he recently inked a lifetime deal with Nike that is said to be worth $1 billion. The guy pretty much has more money than he knows what to do with, but that doesn’t mean he is averse to saving a buck.
Dwyane Wade, one of LeBron’s closest friends, co-hosted “Live with Kelly” on Thursday. During a behind-the-scenes segment, Kelly Ripa asked D-Wade who the cheapest NBA player is to vacation with. Believe it or not, the cheapest is probably the richest.
I feel you, LeBron. There’s nothing more stressful than going to the Caribbean for a weekend and getting charged for text messages that other people send you. Oh, wait, I didn’t make $75 million last year, that’s right.
All joking aside, we’ve seen too many NBA players like this guy somehow blow all their money in a matter of a few years. LeBron has to save somewhere when he’s out partying on private yachts. You might as well start by taking a stand against roaming charges.
