Fan arrested for making vulgar remark about Ayesha Curry
The Toronto Raptors fan who made a repulsive comment about Ayesha Curry on live television after Game 2 has been arrested and is facing a charge.
Tristan Warkentin, a 28-year-old from Toronto, was arrested Thursday and charged with “Mischief – Interfere with Lawful Operation of Property.” The charge stems from Warkentin appearing on CP24 News and making an explicit remark about Curry, the wife of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.
Toronto Police say Warkentin was arrested because he was made aware that he was on live television and still chose to say what he said. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 11.
Ayesha Curry previously made headlines during the NBA Finals for responding to Drake trolling Steph, but there’s no place for what Warkentin said. He deserves to face consequences for it.
