AT&T Stadium has significant roof issue prior to Cowboys game
The Dallas Cowboys had a rather significant stadium issue Monday hours before the start of their Week 11 game against the Houston Texans.
The Cowboys had planned to open the retractable roof at AT&T Stadium in Arlington for Monday’s game. According to multiple reporters on the scene, however, a large piece of sheet metal fell from the roof during the process, nearly hitting some of the production crew at the stadium.

The Cowboys quickly opted to close the roof at this point.

In a statement, the Cowboys confirmed the incident, saying that no one was hurt. Further decisions on whether to open the roof have been delayed until it can be determined what happened and whether the roof can be opened safely.

It has not been a great few weeks for the Cowboys’ prized stadium, as much has been made about the issue of sunlight during certain games and Jerry Jones’ refusal to address it. This is certainly different and potentially dangerous, though it does not appear that it will interfere with Monday’s game.
