The Chicago Bulls recently traded a former NBA MVP for New York Knicks center Robin Lopez. Some would argue that the Bulls won the deal given Rose’s recent play and injury history. Lopez is probably just hoping his new coach learns his name.
While meeting with the media on Monday, Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg praised Brook Lopez, Robin’s twin brother. Brook, of course, plays for the Brooklyn Nets.

“You look at Brook Lopez, a guy that I’ve always thought very highly of going back to the draft when I was working in the front office in Minnesota,” Hoiberg said. “He’s a guy that will run to the rim every time. He’s gonna set screens and be a forceful rim-roller…
“He’s 28 years old and still has a lot of great basketball left in him. The thing I’m most excited about is his ability on the defensive end of the floor. I think he’s terrific.”
Since Brook and Robin are twins and both play the same position, we have know way of knowing if that was just a slip of the tongue. We’re about 99 percent sure it was, as Hoiberg must know which brother his team just acquired.
If you heard the epic jab Robin took at his twin brother last season, you’ll get the idea that the two don’t like to be confused with one another. Hoiberg probably won’t make that mistake again.
