One of Boston’s finest is busting out the welcome wagon for Gordon Hayward.
Hayward said Friday he got a text from New England Patriots QB Tom Brady welcoming him to Boston, per A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE. The Celtics swingman was adamant however that he remains an Indianapolis Colts fan.

Hayward, 27, is an Indianapolis native, so he presumably recalls all the battles that Brady and the Patriots fought (and often won) against Peyton Manning and the Colts in the 2000s. But they both represent the same side now, so it’s a cool gesture from Brady, who is all about these shows of good faith lately.
