Gregg Popovich again goes after ‘disgusting’ Donald Trump
San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has been one of President Donald Trump’s biggest critics in the sports world, and he did not hold back Monday when asked about Trump’s latest comments.
Asked to weigh in on Trump’s comments about NFL players and his non-invitation to the Golden State Warriors, Popovich did not mince words about what he thought, calling his actions “comical” and saying he has made the country an “embarrassment.”
Pop referred to “childishness” and “gratuitous fear-mongering” when asked about sports and politics.

Popovich has not been afraid to criticize Trump before. With sports and politics colliding, it’s no surprise that he would pull no punches here.
