Grizzlies planning to be without Tony Allen for first round of playoffs
The Memphis Grizzlies are planning to be without Tony Allen for their first round playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs.
The Grizzlies announced on Thursday that Allen has a calf strain and is out indefinitely. The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski says the injury typically requires a month of recovery.

Woj further reports that the Grizzlies are preparing to play their series against the Spurs without Allen.

Allen strained his calf during the first half of Wednesday’s meaningless regular season finale. He is one of the most important parts of the team as he is a major defensive stopper.
