Isaiah Thomas may have been disappointed to be shipped out of Boston after posting a career year for the Celtics, but he says all those feelings are gone.
Thomas was traded from Boston to Cleveland as part of a blockbuster trade involving Kyrie Irving this summer. Ahead of Wednesday’s game between the teams in Boston, Thomas said that he has no hard feelings over the trade and that he has forgiven Celtics GM Danny Ainge.
Isaiah Thomas and Danny Ainge are cool again. IT: "Have I forgiven Danny? He texted me last night, so, yeah, we’re good."

Thomas’ only beef is that he didn’t get a Christmas card from Ainge.
IT: "How much do I watch the Celtics? I watch them a lot. I like how they play. I love Brad Stevens. I love Marcus Smart, even though he flops all the time. … Like I said, there’s no hard feelings. The only hard feeling is Danny didn’t send me no Christmas card this year."

IT on return to Boston: “I almost walked that way in their locker room. No, I love this city, I love this organization. They’ve given me the opportunity to be who I always wanted to be … Like I always said, it’s genuine love. And that’s for the rest of my life here.” pic.twitter.com/hBnpIjBN1h

This is a big change for Thomas considering he took a shot at the Celtics in October for trading him. But this is a business, and Ainge was doing what was best for his team. It’s also reassuring to know that Ainge said it was not easy to trade Thomas, especially after the great season he had for the organization.
