The Toronto Raptors evened their Eastern Conference first round series on Sunday despite a performance that went into the record books for the wrong reasons.
The Raptors pulled out a 93-89 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, On. in what was a defensive struggle for most of the game. The two teams combined for just 74 first half points, and things did not improve significantly in the second half.
The Raptors wound up shooting 31/97 from the field, a 32 percent mark. That is the lowest figure a winning team has ever posted in a playoff game since the advent of the three-point line.

Toronto went just 4/30 from three-point range. Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett combined to shoot 14/45, while Scottie Barnes was a bit more respectable at 6/15.
Though they have come back to tie the series at 2, the Raptors have played some ugly basketball against the Cavaliers. They should feel fortunate to be in the series, but that is exactly where they find themselves.
