Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green may not have been concerned about what he did during a recent postgame interview, but his bank account might.
Green has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for cursing during a live postgame interview on Monday. The guard, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, crashed teammate Collin Gillespie’s interview after a 115-101 win over Washington and dropped some profanity.
“They can’t even f— with you,” Green told Gillespie after Gillespie dropped 25 points.

Gillespie tried to warn Green that they were live, but Green said he didn’t care. Perhaps his sentiments will change after he gets the bill.
The NBA has strict rules about cursing during live interviews after a game, and Green is not the first player to be hit with a substantial fine for doing it. It’s highly unlikely to completely eliminate such incidents, however, as players get caught up in the moment at times and simply let loose. Green might be a bit more discerning in the future, though.
