JaVale McGee, Gorgui Dieng get technicals after incident

JaVale McGee was hit with a flagrant foul and technical, while Gorgui Dieng got a tech for an incident late in the first quarter during Tuesday’s game between the Timberwolves and Warriors.

Dieng was going up for a shot under the basket and had pump-faked, leading to two Warriors defenders going up in the air. McGee landed hard on Dieng, leading with his forearm. Dieng was knocked down and not happy about things, so he responded by pushing McGee. McGee shoved back.

Matt Barnes of all people played the role of peace-maker as he separated the two.

Dieng made both of his free throws after the incident to make it a 1-point game in favor of Golden State.
