Jaylen Brown threw some shade of his own after getting dragged by Anthony Edwards in a recent Adidas commercial.
The newest Philadelphia 76ers star went live on Twitch with teammate VJ Edgecombe and watched Edwards’ new Adidas ad. The segment featured the Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star posing as a late-night talk show host doing his opening monologue.
Edwards clowned fellow Sixers LeBron James for passing on joining the Timberwolves, claiming the 41-year-old’s “knees couldn’t handle the cold weather.” Edwards then joked that James went to Philly because the city has “some of the best barbers in the world.”
“Between [LeBron] and old boy from Boston, they’re going to have a whole lot of enhancements going on in the locker room,” Edwards said in the commercial.
Jaylen Brown FINALLY responds to Anthony Edwards saying he and LeBron are about to have a whole lotta “enhancements” in the locker room 😭💀 Brown then had to remind VJ that he’s with Adidas… so who even is AntMan after next season?! 😂🍿 https://t.co/4xTkV78v35

Edwards was, of course, dunking on James and Brown for their respective hairlines. James has long been clowned for having his hairline “enhanced” over the years. Brown joined the club last season and became a laughing stock after his fake hair began staining other players’ jerseys.
Brown made sure to throw in a jab of his own.
“VJ that’s f—ed up! … Adidas doing anything for my boy,” Brown said.
“They need to get my boy some condoms. They’ve got to get some AE some Adidas-sponsored condominiums, that’s what we’ve got to do.”
Brown was referring to Edwards’ propensity for taking some risky shots in the bedroom. Edwards has fathered several children with multiple different women, with one even alleging that he purposely didn’t use a condom without her consent.
Edwards and Brown both hail from Georgia and have been friends for a long time, so the barbs traded were mostly playful. But one has to wonder whether James, one of the faces of Nike, took the slight from an Adidas rival just as well.
