Another chapter is being written in the ongoing feud between Jaylen Brown and Nike.

On Wednesday night, Nike went viral for their petty post in reaction to a 59-point game by Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, one of Nike’s signature athletes. The post from Nike read, “Nothing childish about ’em. 59 for the Greek freak.”

That was a clear swipe at the Celtics star Brown. After a game against the Bucks earlier this month, Brown told reporters that Antetokounmpo was “a child” because of some antics The Greek Freak pulled during the contest.

It didn’t take long either for Brown to respond to this week’s diss from Nike. On Wednesday, Brown quote-posted it along with the message, “Yall got weird energy.”

The reigning Finals MVP Brown has a history of animosity with the retail giant. Back in 2022, Brown publicly called out Nike over their supposed lack of ethics. Then, after Brown was not selected for the USA Basketball team at this year’s Paris Olympics, Brown suggested that Nike, the longtime sponsor of the Olympic Games, was behind his exclusion from the team.

In fairness to Brown, Nike was probably doing a little bit too much with that petty post about Antetokounmpo’s 59-point game, especially coming from an official brand account with 2.5 million followers. Now that the offseason is finished and the regular season is in full swing, it is clear that there is still some real disdain between Brown and Nike.
