Jazz booked flight to Bay Area before Game 7 against Clippers
It may not quite have been Babe Ruth’s called shot, but the Utah Jazz were apparently pretty confident that they would come out victorious in Game 7 of their first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated reported before Sunday’s game that Utah had already made flight plans to go to the Bay Area, where the Golden State Warriors were awaiting the winner, and packed accordingly for a trip there.

The Jazz made good on their plans, winning the decisive Game 7 on the Clippers’ home floor in a 104-91 affair that was never particularly close in the second half. Now as we look ahead to their Round 2 matchup against the defending Western Conference champion Warriors (which tips off on Tuesday night), dare we say that Utah took a page out of Pat Riley’s playbook?
