Jimmer Fredette leaves Warriors’ Summer League team
Jimmer Fredette has left the Golden State Warriors’ Summer League team after just two games.
The Mercury News’ Mark Medina reported on Wednesday that Fredette had left the squad. He says he was told Fredette was considering options to play elsewhere professionally and didn’t want to risk any injuries.
I'm told Fredette is mulling some various overseas options and didn't want to risk any injury https://t.co/AktgWEzPtl

Fredette probably knew he had foreign offers waiting. It seems more likely that he realized his time in the Summer League would not lead to an NBA job, so he’s giving up on that.
I've confirmed this. Sounds like Jimmer Fredette realized this Summer League probably wasn't leading to any NBA offers, so he decided to change course. https://t.co/ic2ds1UOX6

Fredette has been playing in China and become a star there. He signed with the Phoenix Suns at the end of last season, averaging 3.7 points per game on 27.6 percent shooting in six appearances, getting a standing ovation in Utah.
