There seems to be new life again for the greatest power couple that never was.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid chose to rekindle his interest in singing superstar Rihanna on Saturday, tweeting at her to ask if she was single.

For what it’s worth though, Embiid just sustained an orbital fracture in his left eye on Wednesday and reportedly underwent surgery earlier in the day on Saturday. Just an hour before tweeting at Rihanna, the All-Star big man indicated that he was feeling a little loopy in his hospital bed.

But in any case, Embiid and Rihanna have a lot of history — the seven-footer was open about his crush on the “Work” singer back when he first drafted in 2014 but implied that she turned him down and told him to come back when he was an All-Star. Embiid finally did make the All-Star team this year though, but he revealed at the time that he was no longer interested in Rihanna. Now Embiid appears to have changed his tune again, but we will see if that is still the case once he has all of his faculties back.
