Joel Embiid has decided to undergo surgery on his injured hand.
Embiid dislocated his left ring finger during Monday’s game and has been diagnosed with a torn ligament. The initial word was that Embiid would be out indefinitely. However, the 76ers have announced that Embiid will undergo surgery in New York City on Friday and be reevaluated in 1-2 weeks.

The 76ers are 3-4 without Embiid this season and will be out at least four games if he only misses one week and eight games if he misses two weeks. It currently appears as if Embiid will miss at least the next eight games.
